aphillips has just submitted a new pull request for https://github.com/w3c/bp-i18n-specdev: == Rework of the 'character' section == This is highly experimental. It implements the changes we discussed in the 2025-03-13 teleconference, but... more radically. This adds a big note box at the start pointing to the encoding essentials article. But then we go on to define everything locally 😜 - Make a new "basics" section at the top - Remove example boxes - Reorder prose to flow better - Define 'abstract character' - Remove all 'meaningful' use of color - Mention the role of ZWJ in the emoji example - Clarify the Balinese example - Create an example of using 'code point'. This needs more work. - Move the section "defining 'string'" just after the section on characters (and retitle for consistency) See https://github.com/w3c/bp-i18n-specdev/pull/155 -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
