Re: [i18n-discuss] Text appearance, accessibility, and internationalization (#46)

Readability can be affected by the choice of font style.  In non-Latin scripts, there can often be styles that are not relevant to Latin-script content.  For example, the difference between naskh and nastaliq styles of Arabic script (see https://github.com/w3c/i18n-discuss/wiki/Generic-font-families).

Here is an article about readability tests in Thai that examine the difference between styles that have small loops at the end of a stroke, and (more modern) styles that don't.  [The Contemporary Effects of Loops: Studying the implications of this unique feature of the Thai script](https://www.typotheque.com/research/effects-of-loops-in-thai#experiment-3-attitude-toward-the-loops).

Is this kind of consideration relevant to the WAI work?
