Readability can be affected by the choice of font style. In non-Latin scripts, there can often be styles that are not relevant to Latin-script content. For example, the difference between naskh and nastaliq styles of Arabic script (see https://github.com/w3c/i18n-discuss/wiki/Generic-font-families). Here is an article about readability tests in Thai that examine the difference between styles that have small loops at the end of a stroke, and (more modern) styles that don't. [The Contemporary Effects of Loops: Studying the implications of this unique feature of the Thai script](https://www.typotheque.com/research/effects-of-loops-in-thai#experiment-3-attitude-toward-the-loops). Is this kind of consideration relevant to the WAI work? -- GitHub Notification of comment by r12a Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/i18n-discuss/issues/46#issuecomment-2671065758 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
