Note: Grapheme clusters have been redefined so that they extend across orthographic syllables, ie. they don't stop at a virama, for Bengali, Devanagari, Gujarati, Oriya, Telugu, and Malayalam. (The problem remains for several other scripts). See  [Unicode® Standard Annex #29, Unicode Text](https://www.unicode.org/reports/tr29/).
