Things like ranges and mathematical expressions *are* expected to be read from right to left in Arabic (although the numbers themselves still run LTR). Also, different separators produce different ordering. I think an example (figure) range or mathematical expression would be useful because it may be the opposite of what many people think, and the example will help to understand the situation.
