r12a has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/alreq: == Support for isolating formatting characters lacking in some browsers == Webkit still doesn't support RLI, LRI, PDI and FSI formatting characters, although there has been progress elsewhere recently due to Blink adding support, and Edge moving to Blink. Firefox also supports these characters. Tests & results: [Isolating formatting characters](https://w3c.github.io/i18n-tests/results/bidi-algorithm#rli_etc) The behaviour of these characters is described in the Unicode Standard. See also [How to use Unicode controls for bidi text](https://www.w3.org/International/questions/qa-bidi-unicode-controls.en).
