The CR period for the Multimodal Architecture and Interfaces spec ended on February 29. We received 4 implementation reports (France Telecom, Deutsche Telekom, Openstream and Institut Telecom ParisTech). We are in the process of reviewing the reports and verifying that we have two implementations of all the features. http://www.w3.org/TR/2012/CR-mmi-arch-20120112/ France Telecom, Deutsche Telekom and Openstream also participated in a successful multimodal interoperability test that integrated independent components from each company into a single application using the Multimodal Architecture. http://www.w3.org/TR/2012/NOTE-mmi-interop-20120124/ The First Public Working Draft of EMMA 1.1 was published on February 9. http://www.w3.org/TR/emma11/ EMMA 1.1 adds enhanced features for human annotation, grammar handling, and better integration with Emotion Markup Language to EMMA 1.0. The WG was rechartered on January 9 to add new work on on discovery of multimodal services and to complete ongoing work on Emotion Markup Language and EMMA 1.1. http://www.w3.org/2011/03/mmi-charter.html Several WG members presented at the 2012 Mobile Voice Conference in San Francisco. http://mobilevoiceconference.com/
