It's always nice to know a little bit about the persons behind those email addresses :-) > My name is Asbjørn Ulsberg and I’ve been working on and with the web > since the mid 90’s. I'm sure you can contribute a lot of your experience in designing them. > I’m interested in Hydra and standardization of HTTP API description in > general and have come to the conclusion that JSON-LD is probably the > best foundation to build such a description framework on. > > Hydra fits the bill pretty neatly and hope that my involvement in the > WG will make me understand the design decisions behind it better and > hopefully I can give (valuable) input, help with tooling and such. I'm traveling at the moment (till the end of the coming week). After that I plan to end our unofficial summer break and reopen the discussion around collections to finalize their design. I'll also, separately, outline my plan for the coming months (I plan to push our work quite aggressively). > Does the group have a charter, for instance? Work items? We don't have an official charter and no regular meetings. Till now, most of the work and most of the discussion happened directly on the mailing list. Issues (roughly corresponding to work items) are tracked on GitHub. I have been thinking about telecons but it's always difficult to find a suitable time for everyone. I find asynchronous collaboration on a mailing list more inclusive.. even though it sometimes means that the progress is a bit slower. > If there’s anything I can do to help, please let me know. I would really love to get your opinion on the various proposals in the future (or even new proposals). We also definitely need to invest more in tooling, so any help in that regard would be highly appreciated. That's all from my side at the moment... lot's more will come in a bit more than a week :-) Cheers, Markus -- Markus Lanthaler @markuslanthaler
