For no other reason than to gather bonus points, as specified in point 3 on “Join the Working Group” on http://www.hydra-cg.com/, I send this e-mail to introduce myself to the Working Group. ;-) Hi! My name is Asbjørn Ulsberg and I’ve been working on and with the web since the mid 90’s. I’ve been involved in various standardization efforts, working groups and such; RFC 4287 and 5023 are probably the most mentionable of them. I’m interested in Hydra and standardization of HTTP API description in general and have come to the conclusion that JSON-LD is probably the best foundation to build such a description framework on. Hydra fits the bill pretty neatly and hope that my involvement in the WG will make me understand the design decisions behind it better and hopefully I can give (valuable) input, help with tooling and such. I’m not sure what the current status on development of the spec is, what needs to be done, etc., so any update on that would be appreciated. Does the group have a charter, for instance? Work items? Regular meetings (with minutes)? How is the development of the specification and such done? The Wiki seems a bit empty, is prototyping and such done elsewhere? If there’s anything I can do to help, please let me know. :-) -- Asbjørn Ulsberg -=|=- asbjorn@ulsberg.no «He's a loathsome offensive brute, yet I can't look away»
