Mark your calendars, for the first virtual human services ontology meet-up! Normally the W3C holds the annual Technical Plenary and Advisory Committee (TPAC) in person, but this year it's virtual and no-cost (registration is free for all Fall 2020 TPAC Events). Here is our community group page for reference: https://www.w3.org/community/humanservices. An agenda will be forthcoming, but the intent is really to have free-form brainstorming. More of a social event. Q: Why do we need human services ontologies? A: because there are many different definitions for the same word, and ontologies keep the various senses straight, with links to the definitions, which even AI tools can browse. Human Services Community Group TPAC meeting time: Wednesday, October 21, 2020 18:00 UTC/14:00 EDT web url: TBD Sign up for update announcements by joining the group at: https://www.w3.org/community/humanservices 2020 TPAC overview page: https://www.w3.org/2020/10/TPAC/ All the TPAC group meetings: https://www.w3.org/wiki/TPAC/2020/GroupMeetings Please contact eric@alexandriaconsulting.com, if you have any questions.
