HI All, whilst i'll be busy with the GDC[1] thing today; i've had some time to quickly create an illustrative example of one of the ideas i've been working on about how to form electronic shared-values systems, online, which has various implications (including re AI safety).. In this case, i've just made some quick illustrative modifications to the UDHR providing the original instrument side-by-side for illustrative purposes[2], whilst noting also, that i am continuing to develop the document about forming a digital justice / prison systems, and related requirements[3] which is not yet ready for presentation to the group in the form of a proposal or similar; indeed, it and/or constituencies of it, has gone through a few stages / phases, nonetheless, FYI. The implication of what I would like to improve upon before formally presenting to the group, ideally collaboratively with others! - is the idea that contracts have always historically - been able people engage in terms cooperatively - all parties involved in contracts being contributors.. Imagine if only the king was able to define terms for the magna carta, no negotiation would have been required at all!!! As such, these sorts of concerns in relation to the 'digital transformation' activities at large - give rise to human rights concerns, fundamentally, but not solely. There are also various implications relating to the creation of decentralised Human Centric AI (private / personal) systems; and the means through which they may be managed; both, - by first seeking that people wilfully engage in contracts with one-another that represent the values they have and seek to be held accountable to - not as values forced upon them, but rather as values that they have and care about that they seek to uphold in their own life, dealings, etc. and be supported to do so; - This in-turn forms a constituency to other broader 'safety protocols', whereby the 'terms' defined online between agents, is able to make use of these instruments (whereby they're semantically defined, et.al); and thereafter also, - whilst there are many use-cases associated to social protections, one of them is prisons. fairness and human rights are sought to be afforded to all, including prisoners. So, in this age of serious online crimes, and other issues, like 'cancel culture', and claims taking far more weight than court-outcomes, if available to the disaffected at all; the means to ensure support for human rights, rule of law - is on the top of my list. Feedback is very much welcomed. Timothy Holborn.. NB; 1. The work is still in its relatively early stages, as I work through it on a best-efforts basis; somewhat also, becoming emotional whilst doing it, when I consider all of the potential things that could exist to support the human rights of persons, but dont. 2. Much of the content in the justice document[3] is sourced either from earlier quick works done in relation to an implementation that I have been working on for sometime; as well as other projects that i've looked into in past; although, not that the document is exhaustive, in this regard. *LINKS:* [1] https://www.un.org/techenvoy/global-digital-compact/intergovernmental-process [2] https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1q6Cl__FbUddtKtBPxw2KDviO_PEl7Ti-XYZOT1EQM14/edit [3] https://docs.google.com/document/d/10exQ8MIJnSWo2YSPJp8gUTpAz1ClcL16RgmrsOiI7uQ/edit#
