The mission of the HTML Working Group is to give input to and bring the WHATWG HTML and DOM Review Drafts to W3C Recommendations. The group is in the process of drafting a new charter [2]. This extension will allow additional time for the group to resolve the issues raised during the horizontal review of the charter. More information about the HTML Working Group can be found on its home page [3]. The group is currently chaired by Theresa O'Connor (Apple, Inc.) and LĂ©onie Watson (TetraLogical).
