[PROPOSAL]Multiple suggestions with datalist

In short: I'm looking for suggestions/support about an improvement of
datalist.
Datalist provides suggestions only when the control is empty. Authors
should be able to indicate a separator character that, once pressed, lets
the UA show again the suggestion list. It would be up to the author to
indicate a separator which doesn't conflict with expected field content.
This could or could not lead to the implementation of "multiple" attribute
on text input.
