Dear HTML WG,
the HTML Accessibility Task Force has resolved all outstanding comments
and bugs, and agreed [1] to request that the HTML Image Description
Extension be published as a Last Call Working Draft.
The basis of the draft to be published is the new Editor's draft at
https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/html-proposals/raw-file/f1a29b787908/longdesc1/longdesc.html
and we will request a 60-day last call, in lieu of summer being upon the
northern hemisphere and to be ultra-conservative in allowing for comments,
any potential patent exclusions, etc.
