> If there are no objections by Fri Oct 19 then this CfC resolution will carry. Since there have been no sustained objections to this CfC, the editorial team is authorized to arrange for the publication of these heartbeat drafts. /paulc HTML WG co -chair Paul Cotton, Microsoft Canada 17 Eleanor Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 6A3 Tel: (425) 705-9596 Fax: (425) 936-7329 -----Original Message----- From: Paul Cotton [mailto:Paul.Cotton@microsoft.com] Sent: Friday, October 12, 2012 10:37 AM To: public-html@w3.org Subject: CfC: Publish nine heartbeat drafts as WDs This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to publish new revisions of the following documents in accordance with the Working Group heartbeat requirements. We are planning to prepare and publish the drafts during the week of Oct 22 and probably on Tue Oct 23. 1. HTML5 - http://htmlwg.org/heartbeat/WD-html5-20121011/index.html 2. HTML Canvas 2D Context - http://htmlwg.org/heartbeat/WD-2dcontext-20121011/Overview.html 3. HTML to Platform Accessibility APIs Implementation Guide - http://htmlwg.org/heartbeat/WD-html-aapi-20121005/Overview.html 4. HTML5: Techniques for providing useful text alternatives - http://htmlwg.org/heartbeat/WD-html-alt-techniques-20121005/Overview.html 5. Polyglot Markup: HTML-Compatible XHTML Documents - http://htmlwg.org/heartbeat/WD-html-polyglot-20120925/Overview.html 6. HTML5 differences from HTML4 - http://htmlwg.org/heartbeat/WD-html5-diff-20120930/Overview.html 7. HTML: The Markup Language (an HTML language reference) - http://htmlwg.org/heartbeat/WD-html-markup-20121011/Overview.html 8. HTML5: Web Developers Edition - http://htmlwg.org/heartbeat/WD-html5-author-20121011/Overview.html 9. HTML Microdata - http://htmlwg.org/heartbeat/WD-microdata-20121011/Overview.html Silence will be taken to mean there is no objection, but positive responses are encouraged. If there are no objections by Fri Oct 19 then this CfC resolution will carry. Considerations to note: - As a Working Draft publication, the document does not need not be complete, to meet all technical requirements, or to have consensus on the contents. - Objections may be made on specific documents but not on others. Not counting the HTML5 Differences document, there are effectively eight different documents under consideration at this time. - Drafts that are currently in Last Call will reflect resolution of Last Call Issues for which there is a WG Decision and all Last Call bugs processed by the respective Editors. This includes HTML5, HTML Microdata, HTML Canvas 2D Context, HTML/XHTML Compatibility Authoring Guidelines, and HTML5: Techniques for providing useful text alternatives. /paulc HTML WG co-chair
