HTML5 Working Group, Greetings. I was wondering whether anybody had any thoughts about the use of metadata on hyperlink or anchor tags in HTML5? Metadata on hyperlinks can facilitate entirely new features. Some such new features include: multiple download locations, automatic hash verification, automatic repair of downloads with errors, multiple file downloads, settings-based selection from multiple URL including from multiple available MIME or content types. Presently, to achieve some of those features, document content is required, such as the use of multiple hyperlinks to present users with download-related options in the form of menus. Some technological examples include: Metalink and Magnet URI. Kind regards, Adam Sobieski
