Hello everyone, The transition to a new year in the HTML working group brings into sharp focus the tremendous blessings and responsibilities that come with stewarding HTML into the future. All of us here play a role in advancing the language and ensuring that it reaches its full potential. Sometimes that message can get lost in day-to-day bugs and issues and procedures. So please permit me to take this opportunity to say thank you for all you do, each and every day. The past years have been like no other, and 2012 promises more challenges. While we may disagree on some things, I know we all agree that the work is worth doing well. Together, we can create a better future. Happy New Year and thanks again, everyone, for your work in trying to move HTML forward. It is a privilege. Kindest Regards, Laura -- Laura L. Carlson
