At this time, pursuant to the enhanced Change Control policy for HTML5 Last Call, the Chairs are asking for a revert on the following revision: http://html5.org/tools/web-apps-tracker?from=5835&to=5836 The revision was made based on <http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=11984>. Since the change was made, there have been numerous objections, and Microsoft and Mozilla have both indicated they do *not* plan to implement the new behavior. The bug is currently reopened. The Chairs believe that it is reasonable to pursue the requested change further, but in the meantime, we do not want this change blocking progress to Last Call. (And on a personal note, let me add that I prefer the new behavior after r5836. However, since other major implementors refuse to implement it, it seems unwise to stick with it until we have a chance for a full discussion.) Regards, Maciej
