Hi Everyone, >From the time I started asp.net, I found the "master page" feature of asp.net very useful. But always it seemed to me that it is not needed to implement master pages at server side. Rather it would be better to leave the tag to the client browser for handling. Then it can save some time also as the whole page is not requested again and again. There will be no need to use ajax/javascript explicitly for loading specific content of a page while leaving the common part. This may be a microsoft copyrighted thing. Then you can ask them to leave it for HTML. Or some different tags/elements for using master page con be introduced. With Best regards, Gulshanur Rahman
