http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=7076 Summary: Client-side image maps attributes missing on the a element Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC URL: http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/#the-a-element OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec bugs AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: scampa.giovanni@gmail.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org The a element is missing the coords and shape attributes, defined in HTML 4.01, section 12.2 and 13.6.1. The attributes must be defined similar to those on area. As such, the processing the model defined in HTML5-4.8.14.2 must be corrected as following: - the third step in algorithm for extracting the /areas/ must say: "If the /map/ contains only one or more _area_ element, collect all those, else collect all _a_ element descendant of the having both a valid _shape_ and _coords_ attribute. The collected elements are the /areas/" (compatible with the requirement in HTML4.01) Then all furhter references to the area element must be removed from that section. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
