Sam Ruby and Dan Connolly asked me to send proposed issue closures in individual emails, with clear subject lines, and Cc'd to the issue originator when possible. Apologies for the spam. If there are no objections, I will close this issue on 2009-09-03. ------------ ISSUE-60: html5-xhtml-namespace - Reuse of 1999 XHTML namespace is potentially misleading/wrong http://www.w3.org/html/wg/tracker/issues/60 This issue is lacking a description, but it pointed out the potential conflict with XHTML2 and the XHTML2 WG. Since the XHTML2 WG is winding down, and since XHTML2 will not advance on the REC track, there is no more conflict. In addition, use of the 1999 namespace is required for compatibility. Since there is not going to be a conflict, we should close this issue. Regards, Maciej
