Sam Ruby and Dan Connolly asked me to resend my proposed issue closures in individual emails, with clear subject lines, and Cc'd to the issue originator when possible. Apologies for the spam. If there are no objections, I will close this issue on 2009-08-20. ------------ http://www.w3.org/html/wg/tracker/issues/13 This was a feature proposal that was never adequately developed into a complete concrete proposal. I suggest that it is too late to consider proposals for new features at this time. I suggest closing this issue. In response to an earlier email, Julian agreed it is now too late to consider the feature suggestion here, but stated that he'd like to review the HTML5 spec's text for 401s. Julian, do you believe that doing that review should block Last Call? If not, would you be ok with closing the issue and tracking your review plans separately? Regards, Maciej
