We will probably change to align with WebKit and Mozilla for that case, but if you convince the WebKit team and the Mozilla team to change their implementation then I'm sure we'll be glad to keep it triggering standards mode. :-) Mozilla won't change before HTML 5 changes, and WebKit probably won't change before Mozilla changes, so it really depends on what the WG decides on. Currently there's a 50:50 chance for either decision. Obviously I'd prefer the decision to make this doctype trigger no-quirks mode.
