Note, the below parsing issue in IE8 Beta 2 has been addressed in recent internal builds of IE8 :-) -----Original Message----- From: public-html-request@w3.org [mailto:public-html-request@w3.org] On Behalf Of Henri Sivonen Sent: Friday, October 31, 2008 1:23 AM To: Bruce Lawson Cc: public-html@w3.org Subject: Re: proposal to allow div, h1 .. h6 and section as children of list elements On Oct 22, 2008, at 19:57, Bruce Lawson wrote: >
... >
Commencement
>
These regulations replace the Practising Certificate > Regulations 1976 in relation to all practising certificates, and > applications for practising certificates, for any period commencing > on or after 1st November 1995.
>
Requests for information
>
In addition to information supplied on any prescribed form under > these regulations, solicitors must supply to the Law Society such > information as to their practice as solicitors as the Society shall > from time to time reasonably require for the purpose of processing > applications.
FWIW, as far as parsing goes, this is compatible with HTML5, Firefox 3.0.3, WebKit r35752 and Opera 9.62. It is incompatible with parsing in IE8 beta 2, though. (IE effectively ignores
, so the h2 element ends up as a child of the previous li element.) -- Henri Sivonen hsivonen@iki.fi http://hsivonen.iki.fi/
