wolenetz has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/media-source: == Add vp09 codec string with relevant references similar to the webm vp09 codec string, to ISOBMFF Byte Stream Format == See #180 and #182 for reference to similar addition previously made to the WebM bytestream format spec. This issue tracks doing similar for the ISOBMFF bytestream spec, or documenting why it might be unnecessary if already linked appropriately via MP4RA via RFC 6381. Chromium has supported vp9 in MP4 in MSE and requires codec strings for isTypeSupported, etc that conform to those similar to those added in #182 for webm.
