resource for loading between pages of the same site

Hi, I wonder, has it ever been considered to add a http header to 
spesify a resource "loading icon" or "loading mesasge" which the browser 
may display while loading a page within the same site?
At this time, loading animations or messages seem reserved for spingle 
page applications, but why should they be?
