RE: EME & MSE: Updated triage process for v1

I want to encourage all WG members and observers of the WG's efforts to review the results of the Editors' triage process for remaining open MSE and EME issues.

WG members have until Tuesday Mar 29, to object to the designation of the MSE and EME issues as V1, V1NonBlocking, or VNext. After that date the Editors and WG members will only deal with V1 and V1NonBlocking issues until we get MSE V1 and EME V1 to Recommendation status.

Subject: Re: EME & MSE: Updated triage process for v1

Last week, the MSE and EME spec editors published a triage process for remaining spec issues: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-media/2016Mar/0003.html. This process was adopted to meet timelines we've set for finishing version 1 spec work. Key timeline goals and dates are:

- The goal is to publish both specs as Recommendations by September and close the old HTML WG.

- To meet this goal, the specs must be in PR in mid-June.

- We need to have a clear picture of the remaining work (open issues for v1) by the AC meeting next week.

We've now applied the triage process to each of the currently open spec issues. At this moment, all open issues for MSE and EME are assigned to one of the following milestones:

- V1

- V1NonBlocking

- VNext

The goal of the published process and our triage pass was to assign a consistent priority on remaining issues for version 1 spec completion. We recognize that it is likely that some desirable features may have been deferred to VNext, but this was necessary to meet version 1 timelines. We appreciate your cooperation and assistance in helping to resolve issues and get both specs to Recommendation.
