5.  NEW EME bugs since the last meeting

a) [NEW] Bug 25580 - Add Informative Reference to Byte Stream Format Registry in MSE editors draft.


Status: Created as requested at the last meeting. Assigned to Editors.

b) [NEW] Bug 25581 - Establish a update process & home for byte stream format registry and byte stream specs.


Status: Created as requested at the last meeting. Assigned to Editors.

c) [NEW] Bug 25594 - The read-only attribute usableKeyIds cannot be variable length

6.  Bugs for discussion

a) [EME] Bug 25269 - Add a container-independent initialization data type for providing a list of key IDs to createSession()

7. Cluster of bugs: 17673 -> 17682 -> 24419 and 17673 -> 24027

a) Bug 17673 - Define Initialization Data for implementations that choose to support the ISO Base Media File Format
Status of 17673: Mark and Jerry are going to review the related spec updates.

b) Bug 17682 - Clear Key: Document how keys and key IDs are associated
Bug 24419 - Clear Key: Define license request format
Status of 17682 & 24419: David has made proposals and will implement them soon.

c) Bug 24027 - Define a generic Initialization Data solution for ISO Base Media File Format and/or Common Encryption (will be used by Clear Key)
Status of 24027: Mark will implement David's proposal for the basic structure.

8. IsTypeSupported  bugs

Status: Editors are reviewing this cluster of capability-related bugs.

a) Bug 25092 - Need a way to inform script that resolution restrictions are applied


b) Bug 25218 - Allow license management directly via MediaKeySession


Status: Withdrawn and replaced by 25595. See below.

c) Bug 24874 - Positive isTypeSupported() may be misleading (MSE vs. .src=)


d) Bug 24873 - Current isTypeSupported() definition does not provide sufficient information to applications


Status: Reopened.

9. EME use of Promises

a) Bug 25199 - EME should use Promises


Status: Implemented. Blocked: 21798 24771

b) Bug 24771 - Provide guidance on object and CDM lifetime (including when events are guaranteed to be fired)


Status: Pending implementation by the Editors.

c) Bug 21798 - Revisit MediaKeyError codes


Status from Mar 4: David said he would make a proposal. Depends on 21599.  Input from others welcome.

10.  Use cases/application models

a) [NEW] Bug 25595 - Better definitions needed for session, keys and license


b) Bug 25434 - Remove unsupported informative text in Abstract regarding OOB communication.


Status: Reopened.

c) Bug 24082 - Several issues discussed in the TF point to the need for defined extensibility points in EME
