a) Bug 26575 - Separate creation of the MediaKeySession from "message" event generation


b) Bug 26600 - Text is confused between persistent session vs persistent licenses

8. EME bugs with proposal

a) Bug 25268 - Reduce the burden on applications to deduplicate initData from many needkey events


See Glenn's proposal that this be RESOLVED WORKSFORME (no change):


b) Bug 24771 - Provide guidance on object and CDM lifetime (including when events are guaranteed to be fired)


Status: There seems to be consensus in the bug comments to making the proposed changes.

9. EME bugs awaiting input from Task Force or actions

a) Bug 26372 - Revisit the need for EME-specific DOMException names and the "error" attribute and event


Status: On Aug 12 Jerry offered to "open a new bug and make a proposal".

b) [Bug 26332] Applications should only use EME APIs on secure origins (e.g. HTTPS)


Status: Discussion has continued since Aug 12 on this bug.  We have strong opinions for each side of using HTTPS.

c) [Bug 26401] Key message destinationURL usage is not reflected in examples


Status: At the Aug 12 meeting Joe offered to update this bug.

d) Bug 25923 - isTypeSupported should be asynchronous


Status: Now that Bug 26207 was RESOLVED with no changes what should we do with this bug?
