https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=20336 Bug ID: 20336 Summary: Revert addition of keySystem attribute to HTMLSourceElement Classification: Unclassified Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Encrypted Media Extensions Assignee: ddorwin@google.com Reporter: ddorwin@google.com QA Contact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: adrianba@microsoft.com, eric.carlson@apple.com, mike@w3.org, public-html-media@w3.org Depends on: 20335 This is a proposal. keySystem was originally added to HTMLSourceElement to allow selection of a supported key system-type combination by the user agent and to be consistent with the changes to canPlayType(). With the removal of the canPlayType() changes (bug 20335) and moving of EME methods to new objects, the HTMLMediaElement no longer has knowledge of key systems. It seems appropriate to also remove such knowledge from HTMLSourceElement as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
