For your information, NTT-Docomo is using HTML in mails too.

If you do not know what is deco mail
Deco-mail is a service that allows the user to send and
receive simple HTML mails to and from other Deco-mail
compatible handsets, or to and from the Internet.
Note) There are two ways to send Deco-mails: the first
one is "from a Deco-mail compatible handset"; and the
second one is "via the Internet, from a personal
computer". The information given on this page mainly
relates to the latte
