https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=24482 Bug ID: 24482 Summary: AX: AAPI mappings does not explicitly allow for UAs to determine presentational heuristics Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Hardware: PC OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML a11y APIs (editor: Steve Faulkner, Cynthia Shelly) Assignee: faulkner.steve@gmail.com Reporter: jcraig@apple.com QA Contact: sideshowbarker+html-a11y-api@gmail.com CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-admin@w3.org, public-html-bugzilla@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org AX: AAPI mappings does not explicitly allow for UAs to determine presentational heuristics. For example, <table> is not exposed as AXTable if WebKit can determine that it is a layout table versus a data table. Likewise, web authors use <ul> as layout lists in a bunch of places, too. The HTML AAPI should explicitly require these to be mapped to these semantic elements if the UA can determine they are not used in a semantically meaningful context. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
