https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=23299 Bug ID: 23299 Summary: clarify inline vs script Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Hardware: PC OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Using ARIA in HTML Assignee: faulkner.steve@gmail.com Reporter: faulkner.steve@gmail.com QA Contact: dave.null@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-bugzilla@w3.org dominic mazzoni: * I don't quite understand the "Add ARIA inline or via script" section. It'd be helpful to explain why exactly it would not be "safe" to use ARIA inline. Obviously if an ARIA attribute is something that dynamically changes, like aria-checked or aria-activedescendant, it should be modified by a script. But if that's the main concern, why not just say so explicitly? What are the specific concerns about adding ARIA inline in a context where scripting is disabled? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
