https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=20804 Bug ID: 20804 Summary: The description for the menu element is confusing Classification: Unclassified Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Hardware: PC OS: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec Assignee: dave.null@w3.org Reporter: ian@iandevlin.com QA Contact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-admin@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org Currently the description for the menu element declares that "The menu element represents a list of commands." Both the ul and ol elements have similar declarations, and both of those can only have li elements as direct children, but this isn't the case with the manu element that can have menuitem, li or flow content. I think that the initial description needs to be made a bit clearer in order to remove this implication. e.g. "The menu element represents a number of commands" or "a group of commands". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the QA Contact for the bug.
