https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=19536 Priority: P2 Bug ID: 19536 CC: ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, philipj@opera.com, public-texttracks@w3.org, robin@w3.org, silviapfeiffer1@gmail.com, simonp@opera.com Assignee: silviapfeiffer1@gmail.com Summary: [WebVTT] Allow using a smaller viewport for position/size of cues QA Contact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: silviapfeiffer1@gmail.com Hardware: PC Status: NEW Version: unspecified Component: default Depends on: 16864 Product: HTML.next Cloned from WHATWG component. +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #16864 +++ TVs with overscan would render cues outside the screen if they have their default position and the video is in fullscreen. This seems undesirable. I think it should be allowed to use a smaller viewport size for the purpose of text size and cue positioning of cues. This will apply the following patches: https://github.com/w3c/html/commit/cc973d7ae58e34d4e4e7861c7096bc62968b4acc https://github.com/w3c/html/commit/dcaec493c4b0f3081c4b1087cb7501a59bba29b8 Moved to HTML.next because it introduces a new overscan feature. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the QA Contact for the bug.
