https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=15429 Summary: Form submission: reveal submit button in submit event Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec (editor: Ian Hickson) AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch ReportedBy: annevk@opera.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org, public-html@w3.org Besides the problem with not being able to pick the default submit button (which I think we have recorded somehow for addressing at some point in the future when HTML forms support is more complete), I'm not sure if we have the request on the record for identifying the submit button the user used. The submit event is dispatched on the form element and there is no way provided to identify which submit button was actually used. If you want to handle the form on the client that would be useful and should probably have been part of HTML forms since, well, long ago. -- Configure bugmail: https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
