[Bug 12888] the crossorigin attribute

But the tracker doesn't show the use cases, nor the discussion about the
addition, nor does it show the documentation in support, or the overall
community request for such an attribute.

These have all been asked of other attributes. It's important that consistency
be maintained when it comes to adding or removing attributes. 

This wasn't discussed in the HTML WG that I could see, yet this is a
significant change. More importantly, I'm now confused about whether this is
going to be part of HTML5? Or some future version yet to be determined?
