After some discussion and thought, I've changed my mind and decided I like the
<time> tag, though I would not be fully opposed to <datetime>

I had thought that I was against that because it smelled like another
img/video/audio/object debacle, but I've realised since that unlike
img/video/audio, time actually provides additional and very useful semantics
over just "data"
