[Bug 12910] I think step 7 and 10 are pretty much the same thing, ie. s/[:alnum:]/0/g.

Change Description: no spec change
Rationale: I've left it as is because my head hurts when I try to work out when
I'm working on UTF-16 code units and when I'm working in Unicode. I'd rather
make sure that it works however you look at it.
