In comment #3, I pointed to section '5.2.7.3. Text Alternative Computation' in
ARIA 1.0.

You will find that the entire parent section, '5.2.7. Accessible Name
Calculation', describes @title, @alt, @aria-label as well as - as I said - 
@aria-labelledby and @aria-describedby. All in one "chunk".
