http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12279 Eliot Graff <eliotgra@microsoft.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|REOPENED |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED --- Comment #9 from Eliot Graff <eliotgra@microsoft.com> 2011-04-08 21:33:43 UTC --- The section now says: ]] 6.5.1.1 Content-Language The HTTP Content-Language: header warrants special discussion in polyglot markup. Example HTTP header: Content-language: ru Whenever there is an HTTP Content-Language: header (whose value is no more and no less than exactly one language tag), polyglot markup declares both the lang and the xml:lang attributes on the root element. For more information, see Language Attributes. Note As a general practice and for the sake of expediency and simplicity, polyglot markup may always include both the xml:lang as well as the lang attributes on the root element. [[ I believe this takes care of this bug, so I am resolving it as FIXED. As always, thanks for your help.
