I accept Richard's arguments. 

Plus: Not everything that is possible/legal to do would be smart to do. But
this should be dealth with at author's digression and beest practises etc.

In addition, we should look at any table as, in principle, a data table. Only
tables with role="presentation" should be seen as being officially "blessed"
(by the HTML specific) to be layout tables.
