Summary: New standard format for coding breadcrumbs (rel="up up
up") makes it hard for XSLT parsing
Product: HTML WG
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: HTML5 spec (editor: Ian Hickson)

Parsing the value of the up relationship is difficult with the multiple words.
If trying to build breadcrumbs from a list of <link rel="up[...]> is hard and
requires recursion and looping. A simple syntax like "up;3" that would define
the up relationship and the depth instead of "up up up" would be much simple to
parse.
