http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=9080 Summary: Confusing alt text in the second The Lady of Shalott example Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: alt techniques (editor: Steven Faulkner) AssignedTo: faulkner.steve@gmail.com ReportedBy: ian@hixie.ch QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org, faulkner.steve@gmail.com The second "The Lady of Shalott" example would read as follows to a non-graphical user: *** The Lady of Shalott *** ** A poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson ** A painting inspired by the poem. On either side the river lie Long fields of barley and of rye, ... This would make it look like the first line of the poem was "A painting inspired by the poem" which is quite confusing. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
