http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10455 --- Comment #29 from Leif Halvard Silli <xn--mlform-iua@xn--mlform-iua.no> 2010-08-30 17:53:01 --- (In reply to comment #24) >> what is there about "long description" that implies this item is going >> to be an exact text equivalent of the image, and not a longer caption? > >What implies to Opera users that the context menu item called "Long >Description" points to an equivalent? According to Laura, http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2010Aug/0190 then @longdesc is not link to an "exact equivalent". And I don't believe that that is what WCAG is saying either. It actually clearl up a lot to keep that in mind ... If the purpose is to link to represenation in some other format - such as table instead of diagram, then a rel="alternate" link type might be better. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.Received on Monday, 30 August 2010 17:53:04 UTC
