http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10447 Summary: <output> should have no role by default instead of status role Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec (editor: Ian Hickson) AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch ReportedBy: mjs@apple.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org <output> should have no role by default instead of the "status" role. Although this is not clearly stated in the ARIA spec, the "status" role is intended to be used for status bars, and maps to a "status bar" type role in platform accessibility APIs. I reported this issue an ARIA to PFWG: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-pfwg-comments/2010JulSep/0024.html -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
