[Bug 9743] I misread this initially as pubdate or pubdate="pubdate" were allowed, then as pubdate="" or pubdate="pubdate" were allowed. providing an example of all three styles would be great

the lack of examples meant it was unclear that four different styles were
valid. The examples you added make it much clearer, thanks. It would still be
nice to link to 12.1.2.3, but I think itís clear enough as it is
