Summary: character encodings and XML
Product: HTML WG
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: HTML5 spec bugs
AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org
ReportedBy: annevk@opera.com

Should the character encoding not only apply to HTML? This is how it was
originally. Now it is in its standalone section that bit of information seems
to have gone lost.
