+ Philippe to the To: field to answer a question below. > it's basically a bug fix FTR was there a specific HTML5 bug that this extension spec was responding to? If so what is the status of that bug? > So can it just be updated in place with a line saying that it isn't going to be progressed? The W3C and in particular the W3C WebMaster is not likely to approve an "in place" change of something that is on the TR page. Philippe: How do you recommend we handle the situation where we have published an extension on the TR page that the Editor (and presumably the WG) wants to withdraw? /paulc Paul Cotton, Microsoft Canada 17 Eleanor Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 6A3 Tel: (425) 705-9596 Fax: (425) 936-7329 -----Original Message----- From: David Carlisle [mailto:davidc@nag.co.uk] Sent: Wednesday, November 12, 2014 11:32 AM To: Paul Cotton Cc: public-html-admin@w3.org Subject: Re: Future of public Identifiers for entity resolution in XHTML On 12/11/2014 15:40, Paul Cotton wrote: > David: What is your intention for this document? If this bug remains unfixed the world won't stop. There is no point it being a note if it's not implemented it just confuses people and I got no traction towards getting it implemented. So can it just be updated in place with a line saying that it isn't going to be progressed? Either way I'm happy to do whatever admin needs doing to wind this down, if I know what I'm supposed to do.
