Colleagues: This email sets out the Task Force decision on the CfC to advance the Image Description Extension specification to Candidate Recommendation (CR) status [1], with corrected date [2], and as extended with corrected content and a corrected link. [3]. This CfC received multiple supporting responses. It also received one objection [4] which contained no new information and which was, therefore, not accepted on that basis [5]. This Call for Consensus (CfC) is agreed as a decision of the HTML-A11Y Task Force. The HTML-WG and PFWG are now requested to conduct their individual calls for consensus on advancing the Image Description Extension specification available at: https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/html-proposals/raw-file/217e6b995ac9/longdesc1/longdesc.html Regards, Janina Sajka, for the Task Force Facilitators [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2014Jun/0042.html [2] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2014Jun/0059.html [3] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2014Jun/0065.html [4] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2014Jun/0115.html [5] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2014Jul/0047.html Charles Nevile writes: > On Sat, 14 Jun 2014 17:57:50 -0400, Paul Cotton <Paul.Cotton@microsoft.com> > wrote: > > >>Replies should be posted in this email thread before midnight Hawaii > >>time on Friday 20th July. > > > >I assume you mean Friday 20th June. > > I do...
