Call for volunteer(s) for a Media Source Extensions (MSE) Primer

The HTML WG Chairs would like to call for volunteer(s) to create and edit a Media Source Extensions (MSE) Primer. The most recent April 15 public Working Draft is at [1] and the most recent April 30 Editors Draft is at [2].

When the Media Task Force was processing MSE bug 21298 [3] the Task Force realized that having more introductory material to MSE might help developers better understand how to use MSE implementations. For example bug 21298 asks for a diagram that explains the relationship of "Source Buffer, the Decoder Buffer, the Track Buffer and the "input buffer" "used to hold unparsed bytes across appendArrayBuffer() and appendStream() calls" and how / when data flows between these.".

There are other examples of W3C specifications for which a Primer was supplied eg the XML Schema Primer [4] and WS-Policy Primer [5].

If you are interested in helping create and edit a MSE Primer please contact the HTML WG Chairs directly to indicate your interest and qualifications for taking on such a project.
